Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nicky Golf (“Nicky Golf,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). Nicky Golf is an AI golf-performance assistant currently offered as a private beta. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we do not have access to your plaintext password.
• Golf and practice data. Information you enter or share about your game — rounds, scores, shots, practice sessions, performance focuses, goals, and the messages and notes you send to Nicky.
• Connected data (optional). If you choose to connect a related product such as SimSights Golf, launch-monitor or simulator session data may be synced into your Nicky Golf account so Nicky can reason across your practice and on-course play.
• Nicky Card trial submissions (no account required). If you try Nicky without creating an account — for example through our “Try the Nicky Card” page — we collect the email address, course name, and date of play you enter, the photo of the scorecard you upload, and any note you add. We use this only to read the round, send you the resulting debrief, and follow up with you about early access.
• Communications. If you contact us (for example, through our contact form), we receive the name, email, and message you provide.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and analytics data. We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, pages visited and general interaction events).
• Device and log data. Standard technical information such as browser type, device, and IP-derived approximate location collected when you access the Service.
• Cookies. We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use your information

• Provide the Service — including post-round debriefs, weekly practice plans, and other analysis.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the Service and develop new features.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

Nicky Golf uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers to generate analysis, debriefs, and recommendations. The golf data, messages, and images you submit — including scorecard photos, whether uploaded from your account or through a no-account trial — may be sent to these providers solely to produce outputs for you. We use enterprise/API access and do not authorize these providers to use your content to train their general models. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for informational purposes only — it is not professional coaching, medical, or fitness advice.

Service providers we use

We share information with vendors that process data on our behalf to run the Service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account and golf data.
• Vercel — application hosting and privacy-focused usage analytics.
• Anthropic — AI processing of your inputs to generate analysis and recommendations.
• Resend — delivery of transactional and support email.
• SimSights Golf — affiliated product; data is exchanged only if you choose to connect it.

These providers are authorized to use your information only to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How we share information

We share information only: (a) with the service providers listed above; (b) if required by law or to respond to valid legal process; (c) to protect the rights, safety, and security of Nicky Golf, our users, or the public; and (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at nicky@nickygolf.com. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security and fraud prevention.

Scorecard photos and details submitted through a no-account trial are kept only as long as needed to produce and deliver your debrief and to follow up with you about early access. You can ask us to delete a trial submission — including the uploaded photo — at any time by emailing nicky@nickygolf.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can access and update much of your information within the app. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data, or ask questions about how it is handled, by emailing nicky@nickygolf.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA; we honor applicable requests.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Beta notice

Nicky Golf is in active development. Features, integrations, and data-handling practices may change as the product evolves. We will update this Policy to reflect material changes.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
